Who We Are

Mark Wilson, D.Min., Ph.D.

Lead Pastor

A pastor provides spiritual leadership and pastoral care for the church. Our lead pastor of 30 years is Mark Wilson. Mark was born and raised in Tulare, California. He earned a bachelors degree from California Baptist University, a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Valerie Wilson

SECRETARY

Valerie works alongside her husband Mark in the ministry of Sierra Baptist Church. They have four grown children and several grandchildren. Valerie enjoys leading women's ministries, and serving in children's and worship ministries.

Rob Feely

Executive Pastor

Our executive pastor Rob Feely is from Visalia, California. He earned a bachelors degree from Biola University, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology. Rob provides primary leadership for our student and worship ministries.

Candace Feely

CHILDREN'S MINISTER

With a minor in Biblical Studies, bachelors degree, and Master of Education from Biola University, Candace provides a shared leadership for our children's ministry.

Matthew Young

Associate Pastor

Matthew is working on his Masters of Divinity through Summit Bible College. He has a heart for local missions, mental health, recovery, and discipleship.

Courtney Young

CHILDREN'S MINISTER

Courtney has been involved in children’s ministry for over 10 years and also loves partnering with her husband in the ministries he oversees. 

Janet Chappell

Financial Secretary

Having studied Business and Finance from Phoenix School of Business, Janet has served as Financial Secretary for over 12 years. Janet loves organizing women's events, ministries for the homeless and those in need, and registration for Vacation Bible School.
